Lactobacillus sakei ​proBio65

​Lactobacillus sakei proBio65 is a novel bacterial strain derived from Korean traditional Kimchi in year 2004. This bacteria plays an important role in the fermentation process of Kimchi, a fermented vegetable used as staple food in Korean cuisine. Given the high salinity and acidity nature of Kimchi, our L. sakei proBio65 is a robust isolate which can survive in harsh environment, including growing in the intestinal environment!

With the status of GRAS (generally recognized as safe), this probiotic strain meets the safety requirements  to act as a functional food ingredient and can be added to a wide range of products. The strain had also obtained "Health Functional Ingredient" approval certificate from the Korean Food and Drug Administration (KFDA).
